Fox Rothschild Launches Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Practice Group
Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce the formation of its Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Practice Group, aimed at assisting business leaders in navigating the challenges and opportunities associated with improving their performance and disclosing their companies’ efforts in these key areas.
Co-Chaired by Partners David H. Colvin and Pamela A. Grinter, the ESG Practice Group gathers and mobilizes the Firm’s broad national resources across multiple practice areas under one umbrella to help businesses evaluate and execute on material ESG improvement opportunities, make smart ESG disclosures and avoid reporting pitfalls.
“When handling ESG matters, both action and inaction carry risk. As our clients strive to be good corporate citizens, the firm’s multidisciplinary ESG team can provide informed strategic guidance,” said Colvin.
The goal of this dedicated practice is to help clients reach their objectives in areas such as promoting diversity, addressing climate change and providing a healthy, equitable workplace while minimizing the related litigation, regulatory and reputational risks.
“The team will work with clients to help them assess opportunities for improvement and identify and mitigate associated risks and potential liability,” added Grinter.
The national group, comprised of Fox attorneys practicing in the fields that include environmental law, corporate governance, labor and employment, data privacy and security, and litigation, will work to assist companies in adapting to a business environment in which they are increasingly evaluated on not only their profitability, but on how they conduct business. The team will provide a range of services, including the evaluation of material ESG opportunities and risks, board governance advice, compliance with ESG reporting regimes, vetting of company statements, reports and packaging and supplier and contractor reviews and requirements.
