Fox Rothschild Partner Robert Fishman Touted as ‘Nation’s Top Bankruptcy Fee Examiner’ by National Association of Legal Fee Analysis
Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Robert M. Fishman on being named the “Nation’s Top Bankruptcy Fee Examiner” for the third consecutive year by the National Association of Legal Fee Analysis.
Each year, NALFA lists leaders in financial services who have exhibited advanced knowledge and understanding of complex legal billing. Those named are considered by NALFA as “judicially qualified experts who provide expert testimony and reports on the reasonableness of attorney fees and expenses in underlying cases.” Fishman is the only attorney recognized in the bankruptcy fee examiner category.
A partner in Fox’s Chicago office, Fishman has significant experience as a fee examiner and was featured by Crain’s Chicago Business for his role in the City of Detroit’s Chapter 9 case, where he examined more than $140 million in billings from the 17 firms involved. A veteran in bankruptcy litigation, he has represented both debtors and creditors in a wide range of industries and often attains settlements through mediation in multiparty disputes.
Fishman was previously the co-chair of the Bankruptcy, Reorganization & Creditors Rights practice group at Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin LLC, which merged with Fox in June 2018. He is a past president of the American Bankruptcy Institute and previously served as chair of ABI’s board of directors. Fishman was honored with the ABI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017.
