Stearns Weaver Miller Names Five New Shareholders

MIAMI, FL — September 18, 2015 — Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. is pleased to announce that five attorneys in the firm’s Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices have been promoted to Shareholders as of September 14, 2015.

Farah Bridges is a litigator who focuses on complex litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in both federal and state courts. She has represented clients in high-profile lawsuits, including the multi-district Chinese drywall litigation. She has also represented institutional lenders and hospitals in various commercial matters. Farah earned her J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She joined the firm in 2008. William B. Mason is a Real Estate attorney who works on both national projects and on matters specific to Florida related to the acquisition, development, construction, financing, leasing and sale of commercial real estate. He drafts and negotiates the requisite documents and agreements required to close such complex commercial transactions. Jorge Alberto Medina’s Corporate practice focuses on commercial and asset based lending, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, periodic securities reporting and a broad range of commercial agreements. He has extensive experience working on cross-border transactions with a focus on Latin America where his language skills, relationships and cultural awareness provide a significant advantage for his clients. Matthew Podolnick is a litigator who represents physicians, hospitals, and hospital staff in complex medical malpractice matters at the pre-trial and trial levels. He has defended clients in high-profile lawsuits through verdict at trial, including cases with multi-million dollar exposure. Eric Silver is a Business Restructuring attorney who handles complex commercial restructuring and related litigation matters in both federal and state courts. He regularly represents court appointed fiduciaries, secured and unsecured creditors, and purchasers of distressed assets. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Eric served as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert A. Mark in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
