Jason P. Hernandez Joins Stearns Weaver Miller

MIAMI, FL — October 2, 2015 — Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson, P.A. announced that Jason P. Hernandez has joined the firm’s Miami office as a Litigation Shareholder. Jason’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, financial institution regulatory matters, white collar criminal representations of institutions and individuals, and appellate advocacy.

As a former Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of New York, Jason investigated and prosecuted cases involving financial fraud such as violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, mail/wire fraud, complex tax offenses, money laundering, commercial kickbacks/bribery, securities fraud, Ponzi schemes, embezzlement, and health care fraud. As an AUSA, Jason tried five cases to a jury, securing convictions in all five, and represented the United States in five appeals to the Second Circuit. Jason also previously served as Associate General Counsel at HSBC Holdings in New York City, where he was in charge of conducting global internal investigations for the bank.

Jason earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
