Fox Rothschild Named “Litigation Department of the Year” by The Legal Intelligencer

July 5, 2017

Fox Rothschild LLP has been chosen as the top Pennsylvania litigation practice among large law firms by The Legal Intelligencer, the oldest law journal in the United States.

The firm’s Pennsylvania-based litigators were lauded for securing big victories and handling important cases for clients across the state, the country and abroad.

Fox’s five Pennsylvania offices are home to more than 100 litigators who consistently deliver results in hard-fought, high-stakes cases. Over the past year, the group recorded major victories involving legal malpractice, trade secrets and corporate governance disputes, among many others. The litigators also worked to recover funds or awards for clients, fend off personal and libel attacks and major financial threats and restore clients’ reputations, particularly in the sports and transportation industries.

Nationwide, Fox’s Litigation Department numbers more than 300 attorneys.

“To be honored by the nation’s oldest legal journal is especially gratifying,” said Jackie Carolan, co-chair of Fox’s firmwide Litigation Department. “This recognition is all the more meaningful because it acknowledges the stellar work not only of the lead attorneys who won impressive court victories for their clients, but of Fox attorneys and talented support staff throughout Pennsylvania.”

“Winning this award was truly a group effort. Fox has built a formidable team of litigators by attracting talented, creative attorneys whose dedication to their clients is exemplary. That’s demonstrated not only by our win this year, but also by our designation as Professional Liability Department of the Year in 2014,” said John Haggerty, co-chair of Fox’s firmwide Litigation Department.

Fox’s Pennsylvania litigators were honored at a special awards dinner in June.
